In Growing Up Haunted Alexandra Holzer documents her unusual upbringing in a informative yet light style. The occult holds a fascination for many. This grows without saying when you see a lot of the crime, occult, and supernatural television programing in recent years. Alexandra Holzer grew up with her father, Dr. Hans Holzer and her mother, Countess Catherine Buxhoeveden. Her father is a renowned ghost hunter and he also wrote several books. There are two forewords in this book. One by each of Alexandra's parents. Hans comments he is pleased to see his writing talent has been passed on to his daughter. Her background shaped her into what she is today. She herself has psychic abilities and loves to write. This is a lovely memoir about a truly unique and influential family.
