It was Virginia Woolf who once said,
"For most of history, Anonymous was a woman."
Fortunately history has long shifted and the unique energy of women's voices has become an integral part of the poetic experience. Three of Detroit's finest poets, Andrea Daniel, Claretha Peace Robinson and Rhonda Welsh, will be bringing their unique feminine energy to the event Feminenergy on Thursday, June 13 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Tulani Rose (inside the Spiral Collective) in midtown Detroit.
"Detroit is a poet's town and women have always been front and center," says Event Founder and Poet Rhonda Welsh. "Feminenergy will be a great evening to hear from literary artists who routinely share their words from the page on stages throughout metro Detroit. The backdrop of midtown's Tulani Rose will add an additional element of creativity and beauty."
