X ANNOUNCES U.S. FALL TOUR To Join Blondie’s “No Principals Tour”

Posted on 13:12 by Unknown

X, one of the leaders of the L.A. punk-rock movement, announce plans to join their east coast comrades, BLONDIE, as a Special Guest on their fall U.S. “No Principals Tour”.   Set to kick off September 5th, the bands will hit U.S cities including Atlantic City, Washington, DC, Chicago, San Francisco, Austin, Houston, Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta and Philadelphia before wrapping October 4th in New York City at Roseland Ballroom.  Every ticket purchased for the tour will include five exclusive new Blondie tracks from the forthcoming album, due for release later this year.

All shows go on sale Friday, June 21st, with the exception of Riot Fest in Chicago which is on sale now, the Dallas State Fair show which is free with the price of fair admission, and the Nashville, TN show which goes on sale July 12th.

There will be pre-sales for select shows: Hampton Beach, NH and Austin, TX pre-sale on June 20th only; Cincinnati, OH, Detroit, MI, Redmond, WA, San Francisco, CA, Saratoga, CA, pre-sale on June 19 & June 20th only.  New York, NY pre-sale begins June 19th. Nashville, TN, pre-sale begins July 11th.

On September 3rd the band will release a vinyl 12” four-L.P. Limited Edition Collectors Box Set with a booklet forward authored by the late, great Ray Manzarek. The collection will feature ‘Los Angeles’, ‘Wild Gift’, ‘Under the Big Black Sun’ and ‘More Fun in the New World’, two of which appear on Rolling Stone’s Top 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

The L.A. punk scene in the late 70s saw its share of greatness, but few acts were as talented as the now world-class, live, rock & roll band X. Their 2008 “13-31” Tour across the U.S. was truly something special, celebrating the band’s 31st anniversary. 2009 shaped up to be just as amazing for the veteran rockers, with appearances at SXSW and Coachella Festivals, along with their own “X – TRL” Tour, where fans to helped select each night’s set list.  In 2011, X celebrated the 31st anniversary of the legendary album, Los Angeles, one that not only defined their career, but an entire musical era as well. The band also celebrated the re-release of their landmark award winning rock-umentary, X: The Unheard Music.

The original line-up of X remains John Doe, Exene Cervenka, Billy Zoom, and D.J. Bonebrake.
